In 2004 I wrote a note to myself that by 2005 I would be a self-sufficient writer. In 2006 I fed the chip on my shoulder and drank a lot of whiskey.

I may be naïve to think that quality merits reward but let's try this again.

In 2007 good things happened to myself and those that I know and love. And in 2008 I will continue to cross my fingers that I wake up at my leisure, fry an egg with some hash browns, and put in a solid day of entertaining myself and others.
