During the ten years that I've lived in Atlanta, I've seen only one man run for Fulton County Sheriff: Rambo.

I'm going to go out on a limb and predict that Rambo wins the 2008 Sheriff election in a couple of weeks, and here's why: the guy's name is Rambo. True, his first name is a bit sissy (Charles), but his first name could be Unicorn-Raper and the dude would still win the election. For that is the power of Rambo.

Just like in 2000 and 2004, it's no surprise that Rambo is running unopposed in 2008. Let's face it: if you ran against Rambo for Fulton County Sheriff, you and your family would probably have a machete to your throats in the middle of the night. I'm not saying that Sheriff Rambo would be doing the slashing; just that the people really love their Rambo. And what's not to like? He's TCB 24/7.
