Patti has been calling more while I'm at work, which I love, except that my end of the conversation usually goes, “Hey. -- Fine. -- Cool. -- Bye.”

When I get home, I tell her that I couldn't talk openly because a coworker was at my desk. She decided that we need a code word so she'll know when someone's there.

I told her, “I know what's going to happen. You're going to call and I'll say ‘Daisy' or whatever the code word is and you'll have no idea what I'm talking about.”

So we settled on a code word that Patti could remember. Now my end of the conversation goes, “Hey. -- Fine. Code word. -- Bye,” and my unsuspicious coworker is none the wiser.
